BB code is simply a small [tag] that you wrap around text to make the text do all kinds of weird stuff like this. The most important thing to remember is that you must always use a closing [/tag]. You'll be able to tell it's a closing tag because it'll have a / in front of the tag-name. Happily, other people have already created very good guides to using BBc, two of which can be found at: VForums - UBBC GuideForum Bulletin Board Code (BBC)A Google search for "smilies" will give many good hits. A couple I liked the look of are: Mysmilies.com (unfortunately defunct at the last check) planetsmilies.netPLEASE REMEMBER: DO NOT HOTLINK! It is against the ProBoards ToS and so can get you ToSsed for doing it. If you want to use an image, make sure you upload it somewhere that you 'own'.
Please, in the interests of "best accessibility", DO NOT post in weird font colours. If you feel you need to see the board in a different way, then learn how to utilise your browser customisation options. Also, it's all very well trying to change things to a different font, but only if everyone else has also got that font on their systems will they see your intended effect. Formatting text during conversations is rarely necessary.
