I am a transracial adoptee like yourself 7rin (in fact you invited me here). I was just reading some of your blogs and I can completely understand your problems with coming to terms with adoption and not just any adoption but transracial adoption. Counselling is rubbish, few do not have any idea what to say except the usual... 'that must be difficult' cliches.
It's a struggle and there is no support anywhere, just online but even that's not suffice. It would be great to actually meet up with a few ppl to share and talk about the tribulations we Asians introduced into Caucasian society have had to cope with. Anyone interested, please let me know (after a few preliminary chats first of course).
Hi j, and welcome - though I'm not sure where you picked up the idea I'm a transracial adoptee?
Also, sorry it took so long for me to reply to you. I rarely visit here 'cause it's so unused, but there is also a Facebook group at www.facebook.com/groups/ukadoptees/ if you're interested in joining.
